Something I like about Snow Leopard

So I’ve been a little late in the switching to snow leopard game, but one thing I came across today that I have been griping about so much in the Mac work flow is the ability to copy local URL’s. Working in an office with multiple designers and programmers I constantly am sending files back and forth either for approvals or just to pass off a project. This morning I was being inquisitive and stumbled upon the ability to (finally) copy and paste information in the “Get Info” right-click function then the idea popped in my head and I pasted the link I copied in my browser and wha-la…

You now have a file browser you can actually copy and paste links to. I may be using this as my new finder. This was one of my biggest gripes about Mac OS X and they just slid that new feature in there (I’ve searched all over the Snow Leopard section on the apple website haven’t found it yet). Maybe its because this ability should have been there a LONG time ago? hmm… I think so. Now if only Dropbox could bring back their right click copy abilities…

I am going to start digging up awesome artists in the “IE” and sharing them… We have some world class artists/designers/photographers in Riverside and the surrounding cities. I am hoping that one day a collective will start out here that will make Riverside a real destination for art and design. I’m totally smitten with the work of Jeff Soto.

My So-Called-Friends Rant.

So I have this wallet that my so called friends peer pressured me into buying on woot, so we all bought one. A DB Clay wallet - supposed to be cool/expensive (like a $70 wallet) and I gave up my Lodis one for it. Now I loved my lodis wallet and was completely content with its being and its “wornicity”. But I gave into my peer pressure and “coolnicity” of thinking the 3 of us would come to work everyday and throw our wallets on the table and say a cool wallet-club greeting. Nope. I quickly found out that none of them were going to be using these wallets anytime soon. Actually I found that they werent going to use them at all.

When I found this out I was bummed but “eh” I had my lodis to go back to… “Wait, where’s my lodis wallet?” Just then Coldplay’s “Lost” song began to play on the radio and J.J. Abrahms “Lost” begain to play on the television. It was gone. Dissapeared into thin air. I am now stuck with a wallet that I hate that gives my butt an extra lump (like I need an extra lump).

Moral of the story - a: don’t give into peer pressure and b: 1 in the butt is worth 3 in the hands of my so called friends [twss].

P.S. I linked the lost wallet 3 times just in case some rich soul feels bad and wants to buy me it… Again. (or at least $30 of it)
